Our jewelry is crafted from high-quality 925 Sterling Silver. This type of silver is a blend of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, which adds strength and durability while maintaining the shiny appearance and precious nature of pure silver. Our jewelry is hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and designed to last when cared for correctly.
Our pieces have the same material as Gold Vermeil (a layer of gold over 925 Sterling Silver), the only difference is that Gold Vermeil's minimum thickness needs to be 2.5 microns, which means Gold Vermeil is at a higher price point.
Our pieces don't have the minimum thickness of Gold Vermeil, however, they are coated with an extra layer of tarnish resistance called e-coating to extend the life span of the jewelry. Thus, our pieces have a lower price point compared to Gold Vermeil.
Absolutely! Our jewelry is made from 925 Sterling Silver, a metal that is known for being hypoallergenic and perfect for sensitive skin. Sterling Silver is often recommended for individuals who are allergic to metals like nickel or brass. So you can wear our pieces with confidence, knowing that they are designed with your comfort in mind. However, it's important to note that individual skin reactions can vary. If you notice any signs of discomfort or irritation while wearing our jewelry, we recommend taking it off.
Yes, our 925 Sterling Silver jewelry is tarnish-resistant, unlike other jewelry with cheap metals that tarnish easily after a few uses. However, it's essential to note that "tarnish-resistant" does not mean "tarnish-proof." Sterling Silver, by nature, can tarnish over time due to exposure to air and certain chemicals. But, the good news is, with proper care and storage, the tarnishing process can be significantly slowed, and any tarnish that does occur can usually be removed with a simple polish.
Non-tarnish or tarnish-proof means it does not tarnish ever, while tarnish-resistant means you can keep your jewelry looking its best through proper care and doesn't tarnish just after few uses. Only real solid gold doesn't tarnish.
Our pieces are 18K Gold Plated Sterling Silver, with an extra layer of tarnish resistance called e-coating to extend the life span of the jewelry. It has the same material as Gold Vermeil, for a fraction of the price.
These are best for you if you don't want to spend much on real solid gold, but want to accessorize or switch up your style without having to worry about breaking the bank or irritating your sensitive skin.
Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend our pieces for acidic skin. People with acidic skin can experience a quicker wear-down of the gold plating, leading to the exposure of the underlying sterling silver. Once the silver is exposed, there's a possibility of tarnishing, especially if it's not cared for properly.
To keep your jewelry looking its best, we recommend the following:
- Avoid direct contact with perfume, body lotion, or makeup.
- Remove jewelry before going to bed.
- Remove jewelry when swimming, bathing, and exercising.
- Avoid harsh chemicals such as household cleaning supplies.
- Regularly clean with a jewelry care cloth.
- Store your jewelry in its original pouch/box to prevent scratching and tangling.
Unfortunately, our pieces are only gold-plated and not solid gold, so they are not pawnable.
